Propalin syrup for dogs
Propalin Syrup for Dogs is a clear, colourless solution containing 40mg/ml of Phenylpropanolamine. It is not appropriate for the treatment of behavioural causes of inappropriate urination. Sphincter mechanism incontinence is the most common cause of urinary incontinence in dogs, especially neutered bitches. It occurs mostly in large-breed dogs.
Urinary incontinence is normally caused by the loss of muscle tone in the urethra sphincter. The Phenylpropanolamine works by stimulating the receptors in the muscle to cause them to tighten. Therefore, this can prevent any leaking.
